Final Mission

JB236  took off from East Kirkby at 1650 hrs on 23rd November 1943 to take part in a raid on Berlin. The aircraft crashed onto a bombing range near  Fassberg. All of the crew except for F/S Mutum and F/S Crowe were  killed. F/S Mutum and F/S Crowe spent the rest of the war as POWs.
